One of Rockinghams most famous must see destinations is Penguin Island. A short ferry trip from Shaolwater, and just a few minutes from Rockingham Holiday Village.
Check out the white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, and get up close with the worlds smallest penguins. Feeding times are at 10.30am 12.30pm and 2.30pm daily.
Getting to Penguin Island is pretty easy, with ferries departing every hour from 9am to 3pm.

Open daily 8am to 4.30pm (8am – 3pm in winter months). Get great coffee & cakes, gourmet burgers, awesome fish & chips & fresh salads. Located right next door to Perth Wildlife Encounters, Pengos is the ideal place for a quick bite to eat for breakfast or lunch, before or after your visit to Penguin Island. We have a delicious range of freshly made rolls, wraps, salads as well as drinks and snacks to take away for a picnic on Penguin Island. Enjoy a meal under the shade sails of our alfresco area or have a picnic on the grass next to the children’s playground. We’re also dog friendly and just a 30 second stroll to the beautiful Shoalwater Bay!
